Negotiate consultant contracts
- Proposals revised to conform to requirements of all parties
- Scope of work and schedule clearly defined for each project phase
- Deliverables clearly defined for each project phase
- Special services clearly defined for each phase
- Responsibilities for structural gray areas defined: stair stringers, handrails, guardrails, interior bearing partitions, miscellaneous attachments
- Responsibilities for electrical gray areas defined: site lighting, joint trenching, Title 24
- Responsibilities for mechanical gray areas defined: joint trenching, Title 24
- Responsibilities for landscape gray areas defined: flatwork, site lighting, ancillary structures, signs
Sign contracts
- Contracts reviewed and approved by all parties: architect, office manager, project manager
- Scope of work, budgets, schedules agree with proposals, or have been modified by mutual consent
- Contract revisions approved by attorney
- All required signatures are in place, signed by authorized legal representatives
Verify contract conformance
- Owner insurance requirements have been met
- Consultant insurance requirements have been met
File documents
- All contracts and related documents properly filed
